Expanded clay pebbles are made only from the highest quality clay, and the produced medium is uniform, stable, and has a low internal carbon content, which means you can get the best results from your plants. Our special kiln-fired expanded clay pebbles are a kind of lightweight aggregate. After being heated at high temperatures, they form pebbles that are 10-15 millimeter round. The ceramic shell and internal pore structure retain moisture and release it back to the roots of the plant when needed. The clay pebbles will not be compact, ensuring good ventilation for the life of your plants. Horticultural expanded clay pebbles are made of 100% natural clay. They are clean, have a stable pH, and provide good ventilation and drainage in hydroponics. Due to their unique structure and the ability to cover large areas, they provide an ideal environment for promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria around the root zone, thereby leading to naturally healthier plants. The heavier the clay is, the less porous it is. Our clay is very light and contains a lot of air, which has a better effect in the root zone. Hydrogen has a high density. So although it cannot float, it cannot retain air either. Our expanded clay pebbles are not suitable for flood and drainage systems because they can initially float, but if used in the medium mixture in the basin, their performance has been better so far.
